Andrew Garbus

FILMMAKER

Andrew Garbus is a writer, director, editor, colorist, and producer who has worked on a variety of features, shorts, and commercials. His work has been featured at SXSW, Tribeca, Venice, and has been distributed on platforms such as HBO, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. In 2021 Andrew, along with his documentary Everything I Own (formerly titled Lost and Found), was selected to participate in the Jewish Film Institute's Filmmaker Residency.

 

He also has experience working as a film instructor for neurodivergent students at Actors For Autism. He taught introductory film courses which included editing, producing, directing, screenwriting, and cinematography.

 

Andrew Garbus is currently a member of the Alliance of Documentary Editors, Video Consortium, FWD-Doc,  the Blue Collar Post-Collective and serves as a juror for the International Documentary Association's Documentary Awards.

 

 When he is not working on films or commercials, Andrew is either exercising, working events at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, practicing martial arts, or taking care of his dog and rabbit.
